Pigment glycée print
I use the Pigment Glycée because is a quality fine art digital print process that combining pigment-based inks with high quality archival paper for light fastness and stability, so it is most often associated with reproductions of original art works.
Dye inks are liquid and soak into the paper. Professional art gallery quality printers use light fast dry pigment inks which sit on the surface of the paper. They print at a high resolution and are classed as archival. This means there should be no colour shift or fading for at least 100 years when displayed carefully behind glass, or 200 or more years when kept in an album. The pigment inks have been tested to exacting standards. Therefore we are sure to provide a high quality product.

WHO I AM
I have acquired a good deal of experience in photography and related fields during my career. I have always been passionate about photography, as a job and as a discovering in aesthetic communication, during my travels I found inspiration for my research on the relationship between society and how to interpret it, from 1980 to today. I started photographing using the development and printing of black and white films, making all the photographic developments by mixing the basic chemical elements, gaining experience with all types of 35mm, medium format and optical bench cameras. Later I adapted myself to the new digital processes. My research is focused on the relationship between perception and reality, between illusion and truth, materials and surfaces that reveal details of a distorted reality. I started photographing when I was young, I have traveled to many countries around the world (Sydney, New York, Athens, Eastern countries, North Africa, London, Barcelona), but especially in my native country, Italy. Working in photography, with study and research, I gained experience as an experimental photographer, in a wide range of styles and services: commercial photography, still life, advertising and fashion photography, reportage and street-photography.
This is an important long-term project done with several trips to Tirana between 1992 and 2019. I’ve split the book into two chapters that represent two different temporal visions of the same places in Tirana. My goal is show the identity of a city that changes according to the economic impact.
Tirana 1992 Liberation. Scanned images from color slide and black and white negative. 122 images Color Negative Series – Nikkormat FT2 Camera Black and White Series – Nikkormat FT1 Camera
Tirana in 2019, the new contemporary era. Images in high resolution digital camera. 247 images Color Series – Canon 5Ds Camera
For fundraising I offer the original printed photo book, art prints and postcards to help me raise enough money to cover the costs for the project!
You can support the project without a reward by donating even one euro
In 1992 few photographers was into Albania because in Yugoslavia was a war, and a series of armed conflicts, civil wars and secessionist conflicts, in various territories. I went to that dangerous territory too, because, like other reporters, I was photographing the war, to get the most representative photograph of human conflict, a spasmodic search for crime news for to have a publication on the world’s best-known magazines. When I saw the war front I saw desolation, fear and suffering, and the death, and it all made me heartsick, so I left Sarajevo across Montenegro for Tirana in Albania. Today I discovered that the images that I’ve done there, are very important, because they are among the few that exist. So I want to print this book, to leave a piece of culture as an inheritance to the young people of the city. Some copies will be given to families, without financial means, with children. I hope you like the project, and I hope you will participate in buying the book.
Tirana 1992 and 2019, images of two historical periods of Albania
1992: The post-communist period, is when the dust of political upheavals was breathed, before the Maastricht Treaty came into force in 1993, the year of the official establishment of the European Community. Politics and economic poverty had transformed the landscape and the population. Each person had adapted to the surrounding world, creating new ways to face the day, to survive. 2019: Today what has changed in the people? How do they face the journey towards globalization? I am looking for spaces in which to see how people adapt the environment to their needs, where I try to photograph the interaction between their own tradition, and the rules established by the new urban settlement. Migration to cities as a movement of inclusion and economic exclusion, where space and the social are in a structural relationship; where do urban development begin and where does it end? Where urban transformation means regenerating spaces for sharing and social inclusion. Albanians are strong people with its own traditionalist and cultural identity. The people went through periods of invasion and wars, with great courage, that have left the country in economic poverty but it has always reacted with great power and adaptability. After the collapse of the dictatorial communist party the people could be reborn, free to express themselves and to choose, to recover that freedom that had been taken away from them. In the evolution of the human being the exchange of intuitive ideas and thoughts has always been the best means to grow and evolve, in the freedom of expression. In order to simply live, and simply appreciate the life given to us by God, whoever God is, Jewish, Sikh, African, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Christian or the sun, it does not matter, the human being coexists with the others simply because what matters is to be alive.
WHY HELP ME
EN: With your contribution I would like to reach the necessary quota to be able to distribute the book free of charge to young people living in Tirana, through the school, bookshops and newsstands. Furthermore, I would like to organize photographic exhibitions in various places in the city, to make the images accessible, especially the photographs relating to 1992, a period politically and economically important for the population.

Born in 1967 in a town in the province of Lucca, by a peasant family. Growned by three important figures in his life, his mother, his grandmother and his sister, with whom he shared the period of adolescence full of changes. Luca Brogi has radicalized a strong desire to record and document, as a sort of obsessive inner search. At the age of 8-9 he practiced with a small ZIMMERMANN camera. In 1979 with his first 35mm COSINA CT-1 camera he recorded family moments on vacation and in home life.
In 1992 he went to the “DAMS”, University of Bologna in the field of artistic disciplines, in a period in which the city thrilled with changes and political agitation. A city where he found the first professional assignments as a stage photographer with the academic professor “Giuseppe Liotta”, an important figure in the Italian Theatre. He also knew Luciano Nanni, professor on discipline of aesthetics, and Italo Zannier “History of Photography”, that left an indelible mark in the Luca Brogi’s vision of the photographic art.
In 1995 he moved to Milan where he acquired highly professional experience in the field of fashion and design photography, working with internationally famous photographers, like: Andrea Marchionni, Malena Mazza, Douglas Ordway and Sofia Riva, and in highly specialized photographic studio such as the “Superstudio1” of Fabrizio Ferri.
In this period, in addition to having improved his skills in the advertising lighting and fashion photography sector, he made his first professional works collaborating with some important Italian and international companies.
In addition to photography, his experience ranges from video to strategic communication and marketing planning with print production.
Now he is dedicated to the research of visual communication, using various types of languages and expressive forms of contemporaneity, projects designed to narrate the situation in real time. The use of various materials and the use of structures to create installations is the artist’s current commitment.

Photographic project focused on solitude in a contemporary urban society.
In a modern society we worked to make the human being more autonomous, the heart of the family, which had always been the place where values and certainties were handed down, today has crumbled, the new condition is being independent, self-sufficient, but also attentive to the competition to be stronger towards the other human being that we can find in front of us, the villain to eradicate.
This attitude leads to a forced isolation from which we no longer manage to move away, to go back is not contemplated, it would be a defeat.
The words of Zygmunt Baiman “liquid modernity” can be found everywhere in the contemporary era, the incessant change, devoid of moments to consolidate new institutions, causes instability, uncertainty.
Globalization with open borders has created a centralization of indispensable services, for example, bringing the human being to need the means to move crumbling away those small structures of coexistence and proximity to destruction. Just think of how many people use the television screen to take refuge at home and not have deep and authentic relationships with anyone. We can also talk about the most widespread technologies that use social media as a worldwide network of psychological abduction, those of us who do not have virtual “friends”, but there are those who have more, but even more, and so to infinity , this change has produced a new pathology, technoauthism. All this creates “mass hermits”. What the totality causes is the formation of a concept that is nothing short of tremendous, mass isolation, which goes in parallel with the concept of the production of human waste; from the words of Bauman “Freud said that society pays the need for security with less freedom”.
The causes of solitude are many, family, neighborhood, party and church have dissolved, certainties no longer exist, media information confuses good with evil, and grows the feeling of impotence and failure.
In all this we also put the austerityf to create havoc; it was enough for me to read for free on Wikipedia to understand that it is not adequate to grow a nation, but rather creates economic inequality, social conflicts, unemployment, recession.
But perhaps it is good for nations to do so, as the human waste increases to give an example of leadership towards “the enemy !!!”, as our political leader teaches us.

Traditional photography can be enriched with new expressive ways. By removing some canonical rules, I discover a new way of expressing what I see, no error, no failure. Photography is enriched with climatic influences, sensations, actions.
Bologna of 1989 was colorful and creative, full of events and occupations of spaces where can develop new forms of democracy and new aspressive languages.

Rebellion was peaceful, stretch out to the future, it was a period where still thought to create a better world, in a peaceful way. Rebel thought, not revolutionary or angry, was already projected towards Europe. University movement was wanted to be heard by the public administration, rebellion was against the privatization of university, we wanted to leave all opportunity to study and grow, also apply at people with low income.
